Application Research Center

On June 6, 2022, a signing ceremony for the joint establishment of a High-End Solvent Application Research Center by Linyi University and Shandong Lixing Advanced Material Co., Ltd. was held at the Tancheng Tianyuan Service Center in Linyi. Attendees included Zheng Xiuwen, a member of the university Party Committee and vice president of Linyi University; Qiu Jianlong, director of the Personnel Office; Wang Liang, director of the Science and Technology Office; Zhang Chunguo, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Materials Science and Engineering; Hu Zunfu, a PhD at the School of Materials Science and Engineering and director of the Linyi University–Lixing High-End Solvent Application Research Center; Zhang Junkai, general manager of Lixing Chemical; Su Qiangde, deputy general manager; Wang Lijun, secretary of the Tancheng County Party Committee in Linyi; Wang Fei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Tancheng County Party Committee and executive deputy county head; and Shi Qili, deputy county head.

Founded in 1941, Linyi University is a university administered by Shandong Province. It is a priority institution under the National Development and Reform Commission’s industry–education integration program and Shandong Province’s initiative to develop distinctive universities for applied talent training. It has 28 research institutions, including the Shandong Market and Price Research Center and the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. Its chemistry discipline ranks among the top 1% worldwide in ESI.

The Linyi University–Lixing High-End Solvent Application Research Center was established with the support of Linyi University’s School of Materials Science and Engineering. Following the development standards for national engineering technology research centers and Shandong Province’s new-type R&D institutions, it draws on both parties’ industrial and academic strengths to further optimize resource allocation. By combining the company’s operating mechanisms and job requirements with the university’s talent training system and objectives, it aims to align university training outcomes seamlessly with employers’ talent needs and enable efficient, barrier-free transfer and commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. The parties will jointly develop the High-End Solvent Application Research Center to share platforms, resources and research results.

At the signing ceremony, the two parties held in-depth discussions on future business cooperation. Zhang Junkai, general manager of Lixing Advanced Material, stated that university–enterprise cooperation is an inherent requirement for corporate development and progress under the new circumstances. Through this strategic cooperation, Linyi University and Lixing Chemical can complement each other’s strengths and share resources. The company will also use this cooperation as an opportunity to innovate through collaboration and develop through mutual success, pursue cooperative and low-carbon development, and open up new prospects for mutually beneficial outcomes.
